Lake Daniels 

Scrunch scrunch goes the gravel beneath my shoes, the adventure has started as we are walking I feel a spirit behind me, the unbalanced track that goes narrow from time to time. You can hear the laughter of the students, the packs getting heavier as time passes, shoulders getting weaker, track getting shorter. As we see a glance of light shine through the bushes we are here!!

We dibs our bunks then got into our togs, I called hear the lake calling my name, the water was crystal clear, but still very cold with the breezy wind, I didn’t last that long because of that after the swim we made dinner, Neve, Aalia and I made pesto pasta i was incharge of the pesto and pot, Neve have the pasta and cooker and Aalia was on the as water cutlery and bowls. One bite of the pesto pasta and shivers ran up my spine because of how good it was. Next up was dessert. We made smores. They were amazing. Every blink the sky got darker, it was story time, the time when everyone goes to sleep in tears the stories were incredible scary but I ain’t gonna believe it till I see it, we sat on the dock to admire the eels then when Ms Kemp pointed out that something was over there I still think to this day we were staring at a tree for 30-45 minutes. Aalia was in tears horrified at what was here and could soon be in our hut.

we hoped into our sleeping bags and went on our phones nobody wanted to sleep next to the window so I took one for the team and slept near the window, Since I was awake the whole night I found out who snored the loudest it was a competition between Amber and Angel but i’m going to have to give it to Angel for the loudest snorer it was like a roaring lion it was quite bad I must say. Megan eventually woke up at 2:30 am and we ended up swapping so she was near the window but in disappointment I was even closer to the roaring lion, the shuffles of the sleeping bags made me think someone else was awake but not just me myself and I. 

It had now just past 3:30 am and all of the bottom bunk are awake but the only problem was that three people had to go toilet we were all so scared too but Aalia, Megan, Neve and Sayasun ended up going they come back just about in tears because it was that scary it was now 4:00 am and every one is now awake, we all ended up playing block blast. Everyone wanted the door shut so nobody came in so Sayasun took one for the team and shut it and everyone was cheering for her and she was a hero. Megan and I looked at each other and were like what about us we are sleeping next to the window.

The time slowly flies and it is now 7:00 am Neve and Aalia are cooking breakfast which is chicken noodles while i’m trying to catch up on my sleeping, I wake up to Aalia screaming at me to get up to eat but the noodles were soggy and mushy, definitely not eating those. We clean the dishes and pack up i packed my bag the night before so I helped Aalia pack the bag, we left the bags outside and went for a walk the opposite way to the way out, we walk for a bit then we reach this fire with seats and we sit down and Ms Kemp said we can do something silly so we grabbed chalk and made lines on our face “ adventure mode “ then we got lefts and threw them at people, after that we took some photos on the dock then we were on our way back.

Step by step the trial got shorter as my shoulders got more and more sore, I was just getting slower and slower since I had no sleep and no food, but the sooner I got there the more rest i had but no I was wrong Aalia and I finished first so we ran back to take two students bags that were struggling a bit to make them fairly faster, when I reached the end the joy ran up my spine as the final bag fell of my shoulder.
